The PAD meta galleries are "Photo-A-Day" that "Many people have been working to take a new photo every day.". It doesn't say they have to post those particular photos!!

I appreciate the frustration, but why would you pay for space then post crap as other forum entries have called PAD shots.

Unfortunately the popular galleries and the PAD galleries are about the only mechanism to get feedback, and people like and need a little encouragement.

I was on Pbase for 2 1/2 years with next to no views and comments. Then I started a genuine PAD and that changed. Why wouldn't I want to continue to enjoy the attention? I hasten to add that I won't be making irrelevant galleries a PAD gallery, but I can understand why some people do.

Do your thing, find the genuine PADers and add them to your favourites, but why would you only want to see PAD shots and miss some of the other great photos that are out there but don't get attention because they're NOT A PAD.

Hummmm, ho hum....
Sometimes I can take a photo every day but can't up load one every day. So when I get back to a place with a connection I simply unclick the link at the bottom of the gallery that makes it appear in the meta. Then I up load those photos that need to go in the gallery. When I get to the current day's photo I recheck the "this is my PaD" gallery and upload that day's photo. That way my pictures get into my gallery in the correct order, and I only put one in the meta, the one for that day. Oh well. Since I've been doing this for 3 years off and on I guess it just doesn't bother me that people spam the meta. I don't look at what I'm not interested in. I've gotten a feel for what's commercial or crass, and I have my list of favorites.
