Ansel Adams did Photo-a-Day? I must have missed that... Oh and I'm with CJ on Moonrise, but then, maybe if I'd seen it in 1941...

I've never been much of an Ansel Adams fan, though I do admire his work and have a framed art poster for his "Examples" exhibit.
There's a gallery locally here that has a print of "Moonrise" on display (and for sale) and I must tell you it looks infinitely better in person
than in print or on the web.

Give me Walker Evans, Danny Lyons, Lartigue, Cartier-Bresson or any of a thousand others and I'd be happy.

PS: You mean you've never seen Adams' SP's he posted on Fridays in the meta?
Must have been the days you were on holiday in Spain. The one he did with Jeanne was really funny.
I think there were sock monkeys on his head and a photo of Linda photoshopped into one eye.

Me and Ansel go back a long way.....that day he did the shot of me in his eye - it wasn't photoshop, I was there, in front of him, in Hernandez, dancing naked in the moonlight.....

Ehhh favourite time of the day ehh... It was only recently that I discovered that I had ticked one of my galleries as a PAD one. I have been searching my back-up disks for images to comply with the PAD requirements but been stuch with long days at the office and travels abroad to really adhere to a PAD.

To answer the Q, I guess that I prefer weekends and after work in the summer months as that is the best time to get piccies of friends and the people I approach during the day to arrange a snap-session with.

I guess that it all depends on what your PAD subject is. Mine is monochrome portraits. Duhhhh. Not the best choice ehhh.
