Although I no longer post images to my account I'm still paid up and I feel bound to add my contempt for the new low to which jypsee has sunk. It takes a special kind of malevolence to try to destroy the livelihood of a stranger who has committed the sin of being disliked, for whatever reasons - though those who know jypsee's form will know the reasons can only be petty and as mean-spirited as the actions which followed them.

Some weeks ago, jypsee made an entirely unprovoked broadside at jude in reply to a forum posting of mine. I should add that neither jude nor I had ever done or said anything to her which any reasonable person would call even a sleight, let alone a public attack. Rather than dignify it with a public response, I wrote her an email giving her a piece of my mind, having noted her pattern of abusing and grandstanding. I told her that I would not be reading her reply. She sent me a pmail with the subject line "Don't abuse my Gmail account." True to my word, it sits unread in my account, but if I had relented and replied, I would have said "OK, if you promise not to abuse PEOPLE".

But with this outrage, she has forfeited any right to protection from the public ire she so richly deserves; which she is getting.

It is reassuring to see friends and strangers alike rallying around jude. I sympathise with previous posters who noted that the best response is the undeniable quality and integrity of jude's work. However, sometimes people need to get their just deserts. My brother, a barrister for a major US law firm, has agreed to advise me on the legal options open to jude.

Unbelievable, while reading all the responses I was trying to think of some defense for those actions, I can think of none. This was over the line, through the tunnel, across the expressway and into the mire.
Thankfully it sounds as if things worked out ok and her meddling only served to expose her true colors. Very sad.

Jude,

Not that you need any help, but I offer my services to lock arms in the "Jude Army". I'm a huge fan of your creative eye :D

This is so rediculous

Let this be a lesson to individuals like Mary. While she sought to destroy her, Jude will now most likely become the most renouned Photographer on PBase.

Have a nice day!

Bizarre, sinister and ultimately, sad.

(omigod, I just realized this is exactly how I think of the Bush regime !!! After all, I'm pretty sure their goal is to have us all un or underemployed.)

Good on your boss, Jude, and 'smooth sailing.'

Firstly, love and support to Jude.

Secondly, the overwhelming show of support for Jude confirms my view that pBAse is a special place where we can learn and communicate (supposedly) safe from the sad individuals to be found on most Internet forums.

wtf! I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said. But I will.

I'll defend the right to say we don't like something. What I won't defend is anything that is so petty and vindictive. What on earth has wotsername got to be so revengeful about.

I, I suspect like many of you, have been abused by the odd nutter here, but these have been isolated, anonymous incidents that have gone nowhere. This is something on a completly different level.

I am so thankful that Jude had done everything right beforehand, and that her editor has such faith in her as a person and an artist. Gain strength from this, Jude.

How very unfortunate that this incident had to occur, especially to such an accomplished photographer as Jude. Anyone can pick up a camera and snap pictures for years and years and years and not have the insight and inspiration that comes with exploring every facet of life that Jude does brilliantly, day in and day out.
I can't imagine the angst Jude has been subjected to over the past few days and that fact alone has me angry at a person I've never communicated with, much less met. Just the anxiety Jude must have gone thru to post the original message would have brought a weaker person to their knees.
So bravo to you Jude, for standing tall, taking us all on your fabulous ride. Don't let the ******* get you down.

Although I am one that has a tendency to hide from any conflict online I am so angry now that this malicious bitter woman feels the need to police actions of members on pbase. I have been a victim as well of her wrath yet never would have thought she would stoop to such a level as trying to have someone fired.

Jude, although I am not around much these days, you have my full support.

Wow....that's not just crossing the line that's nuking the neighbourhood. It's obvious they are jealous of your talents :). You are very lucky to have a cool boss like that.

Some people just need to get a life and stop instigating problems
for others.
