OK, I'm in for a 100 mm focal length, 2 days in a row.

5 more to go!

I'm back and out of excuses....

I just this moment received a brand new 40 year old Super-Takumar 135 f2.5. It's real purty!
So, not knowing if it is a bomb or "da bomb," I'll use it for my single focal length week.
Now all we need is an actual start date. Anyone up for this Friday?

Just checking to see if I can remember a day of the week when Jude was not confused.....
Monday will be fine with me.

I've done that before ... pick only one lens for a week, and now I see you are suggesting one lens - one focal length. Hmmmmm... okay I'll give it a shot ... starting on Monday using Canon's 50mm II f/1.8

Changing my mind...

Post Thu May 12, 2005 8:19 pm

...on the focal length.
I like my new Super Takumar 135 2.5, but the focal length is just not versitile enough.
I think I'll go with the Vivitar 85mm f1.8 (T-mount, pre-set aperture). This is a late 50's early 60's vintage lens originally made to work with old Exactas.
I'm obviously going for points on style and degree of difficulty.

50mm 1.8 II

Post Mon May 16, 2005 5:54 pm

I started yesterday without even knowing it.

Because my Rebel is stuck on ISO800, the 50mm 1.8 II will be perfect for this week, lots of low light indoor shots. I'll take it even further and shoot everything at f1.8 all week.

I feel so shallow.

Stuck?

Stuck at 800 ISO? How does that happen?
Time for a trip to the shop or a new camera?
