October Challenge Ideas

Post Tue Sep 29, 2009 3:07 pm

The five day outage sure played havoc on the September Challenge. :x

Any ideas for October?

There was discussion about Ray's 'scavenger hunt' suggestion...see: http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... fa4e9f22fb

I'd be up for that, and I think we'd sort of agreed that would be the subject for October....

Pasted below is Ray's Scavenger Hunt:

<< In any order and we don't have to do them everyday, as long as we have done the 30 by month end.

30 things

blue
crooked
heavy
nine o'clock
danger
vision
written
listen
getting there
more

natural
together
underneath
shopping
indulgence
memories
radial
speed
consequential
refreshed

chalk and cheese
pressure
smile
linear
wild
seasonal
multi-layered
twisted
four
energy

oh, and they should all be photos taken in the month..

lol, just what I was thinking!! "Thirty days hath September, April, June and November, and October too in Pbase-land!!!"

I'll offer: transience/transient as our 31st word

It works for me Doug. Hope fully we'll be out of "read only mode" soon. Now you really have to think before posting because you can not edit or remove your photos at this time.

I'm happy for "spooky" but don't forget that this would be the 31st word/subject, not necessarily the subject for October 31st...IIRC the point of Ray's challenge was to take photos based on the words list in any order and not necessarily posted in PAD order. So you could take and post photos for pressure, listen, move and energy all today (because you had the photo-opportunity to) and then do nothing until the next photo op came along (which could be tomorrow, or Sunday...or the 12th :D

Of course, if peeps want to the just run down the list then that's surely acceptable too!! But we'd better decide the 31st word soon! It's already been October for over seven hours here in the UK, and Laine et al must be almost through the 1st

I like the idea of the scavenger hunt and I'm printing out the list and ready to go... it's almost October here.

I'll give this months challenge a go. Starting off with one of Western Australias beautiful blue wildflowers.

spooky would work as halloween decorations are up all month and we could get it anytime.. it's a good word to end the list with I think.. is it decided so I can write it down or no? Looking forward to the month

I think we go for 'spooky' as the 31st word :) Any dissenters? No? Right, spooky it is (phew, that was easy  )

Have a great Challenge everyone!

edit: I've added the Challenge thread to the PAD Discussion Forum :)
