Suggestion August Challenge

Hi all,

Is BUS STOPS an idea for the august challenge?
In Holland there are a lot of them ...
From now one we can take photo's of it. What do you all think?

Here we have very few! I'd have to drive to neighboring city, 100kms.to Jacksonville or Daytona but it will be very interesting' I love cities!

Not enough bus stops here and they all look alike. Won't join in on this one. As an alternative, how about a general transportation theme cars, buses, trains, ships, airplanes etc.), or a food / restaurant theme? That way everyone can join in.

I don't have any bus stops at all here... I was looking for some inspiration to get back to PADing and I'd love to try a food/restaurant theme for the month as an alternate. If I still lived in the city, bus stops would have great!

Restaurants or food is a great one too...yeah, come to think of it, our's all look the same too...but you could get someone eating in a bus stop and then you could use it as a restaurant or food shot! LOL! Wish we had better bus stops.

I really like the idea of bus stops, but am uncomfortable photographing people.
I'll have to think about it. Unless I only photograph those without waiting passengers.

We'll see.

Bus stops would be very limiting especially if you are uncomfortable photographing people. Expanding the subject to all kinds of transportation stops would help. I also like food and restaurants.

There are very few bus stops anywhere near where we live, so they would be difficult...transportation or restaurants/food wouldn't be too bad. I'm not sure what subjects were done in the past but how about something really open to interpretation like motion or water?

Maire wrote me antother idea, I will give it to you:

" I remember your gallery of different signs and how amusing some of them were. I think this could be an interesting idea, and you will probably get great examples from all around the world. "

So we have a lot of ideas:
1. Busstops
2. General transportation (cars, buses, trains, ships, airplanes etc.)
3. Food/Restaurant
4. Motion
5. Water
6. Signs all over the world

My preference at this moment is to choose General Transportation including bus stops/stations etc. What do you all think?

Hi all,

I find the subject "General transportation (cars, buses, trains, ships, airplanes etc.)" very interesting, also "Signs all over the world" I've been thinking about for some time already.

Water is a great theme for vacation time, as we are leaving the city after August 8.

I'll think where to go with my camera this month

Why don't we do "General transportation (cars, buses, trains, ships, airplanes, bus stops etc.)" in August?

We can Save "Food / Restaurants" and "Signs all over the World" for September / October.

I do like "Water" too, though it might be limiting for those who live inland.

The propsed aug / sept / oct schedule sounds good to me. I really look forward to the signs...it could be interesting!
