IPSWICH meet up 13th & 14th DEC

Post Mon Nov 10, 2008 6:48 pm

As a few of us were not able to get up to Durham due to other commitments and illness, i've been asked to arrange another meet just before christmas, so i thought Ipswich might just be a good change of scenery instead of the usual Norwich meet up...
if anyone is feeling up to a jolly around about that time lemme know!! :D

Not sure I can go all that way! When will there be a meet a bit nearer to Bury St Edmunds?

And no prizes for a shot of the 'J Waine' at Flatford Mill! 8)

There's one in my front garden but central France is a bit far :)

Really sorry, I would so much like to come but we will be back home by the 14th.

Ok...just an update on what we intend to do next weekend and if the weather is good to us it will be a brilliant photographic experience!! On our list of things to do:-
First things first...STOUT WALKING BOOTS REQUIRED!!
Flatford Mill in the Dedham Vale, very photographic!!
Bridge Cottage, good cake n coffee served here...i knows it!! :)
Flatford Locks....gushing water...slow shutters required!!
The Granary and Valley Farm, very pretty and next week they are having their Christmas Craft fayre held in the grounds in the hall and marquee!! Good for us girlies!!
The Hay Wain...you know the one...Constables Painting!!
Willy Lotts Cottage.

Break for lunch in a really nice pub!! :D

After lunch if we can manage it, a wander along the Stour Valley to take in some breathtaking countryside...stop for afternoon teas!!

Dinner is booked for 7pm at the Red Lion Inn in East Bergholt, they serve superb meals here...i can vouch for that!! :D
Rest and relaxation for the rest of the evening then back to the lodge for a good nights sleep!!
Sunday morning we are off to Dedham for a walk around to take in the beautiful old buildings, Dedham Mill and Dedhams arts and crafts. Of course we have to fit lunch in here too and there just happens to be a fine old ale pub handy in the town centre!!
I think that might just about finish us off unless there are any requests? 8)

If anyone else thinks they would like to join us on this scenic weekend please let me know so i can accomodate you
