Meet: Bristol 9 August

Anyone fancy meeting up in Bristol on 9th August principally to visit the Balloon Fesitival?

Though, be warned that the key times to be at the balloons are 6am / 6pm and 9.30pm, but that should leave time to explore some of the city too. It looks like a lot of fun.

I don't know Bristol very well and haven't been to this event before. I'll do my best to organise things but it may be a bit chaotic - but hey, the most fun meets are chaotic!

My first experience of this event was when I was travelling on a train near Bristol and I saw so many colourful balloons over the city on a summer's evening. I think it was the next year I went to the event proper, but unfortunately they couldn't launch but this is a chance you have to take. But what I didn't realise is that later on they did a 'Night Glow' and was on my way back home by this time.

All this was about 15 years ago.

That is cool - Bristol was my home for well over a year yet I never managed the Balloon Fiesta! Gail, do let me know if you'd like me to help with organising anything, will probably go ther ea day early to do some decorating.
