Great talent on pbase MISSING JOHN C IRELAND

Would just like to share: I know there are a lot of talented and great photographers, writers and all around wonderful, caring people on pbase. I appreciate you and have learned from each of you as you have come to my rescue and just studying your work.

I have been missing such a person, John Ireland (Autumn Everkid 17 - Ireland719@aol.com) and his great pictures, collages, humor, writings, far out ventures of fun and magic, songs and so much more of his diverse talents.
Maybe just some time off ? I pray so.

As time has gone on I realized you probably weren't just on a retreat...but I hope not *in* retreat. We both know there are those who define photography narrowly, and they are too generous with their opinions...but they do a disservice to photography and if they've made you decide to head elsewhere, they've done a disservice to me and many others. I don't know that that's the reason for your hiatus, but that's what I fear.

I miss your unique point of view and your message, and your unswerving support of those around you. If PBase isn't big enough for all of us, then it is truly small. Whatever the future holds, I wish you well, my friend.

Jason, you express how I am feeling. Many pbasers are wondering when John will return and miss him. He has a caring way for all of us. He was himself, yes, but so caring and supportive of us all, and in awesome ways he poked fun at his self, he was JOHNUTTY, as he shared his sadness, his joy and his tremendous talents with this forum. John is sharing with others, somewhere, being his own sparkling self. !! To bad this TENT is not big enough to cover us all, WITH OUR DIVERSITIES.
I have always heard that the road back home was shorter, then the road leaving. HURRY ON HOME JOHN.

Missing your photohumor and your ability to see the real reality in the things around us in a lighthearted manner.

I was always puzzled by your comments and images and then realised it was NOT what you actually said but rather that you made us think about what you said and provoked a response and a question in our minds.
