PAD Is Pretty Much Dysfunctional Right Now ...

There are just too many images in PAD that cannot be viewed for a considerable amount of time. They are being replaced by broken icons. No response has ever been received from PBase. It is unbelievable, but true. PAD is a pretty dysfunctional ... function at this point in time.

I have been having the same problem, it took almost a whole night for one of my pad images to resize, it made it really hard for anyone to look at the whole image. I have also had problems looking at other pad images where the thumbnail looks fine, but the actual image will be broken:( It's sad, but I'm sure it's something they are working on!

It's a pretty basic function of a photo sharing site that it should actually display photos. Do other sites have problems like this on such a regular basis?

No. And if they do, they at least have the decency to tell the users what the problem is, when it will be fixed, and apologize. Around here that's never been done and never will be.

Speed and lack of pictures - I'd forgotten how hard it can be sometimes.

The missing images can be resolved by changing the URL, add /medium.jpg to the url and up pops the picture. That's my workaround now I found it today.

Basic things need to be put right, communication is point number 1, if we can't get past that there is no real hope for the future.

Yes, it can be annoying...but for the minimal annual fee, I would say pbase is a great place to be. There sure is a lot more good about this website than bad....
Why is it that only the bad things in life get pointed out? We seldom praise the good....

Pretty shitty service lately. It's happening a lot. Why haven't they identified what it is? Certainly at times it could be a network problem, but I can't see why they don't have some kinda status report page to let us know if it's us or them.

Not totally cracked but I'm noticing the newer images today are broken links again. So for those of you who have posted today, the best bet is to wait it out again and the images will return.

I suppose this is a once a month Pbase thang.
