Is this normal PAD gallery behaviour

Let's say I have a collection of images that I uploaded in my galleries since one year. I want now to start a PAD gallery to collect comments and improve my technique.

If I copy one image (that I uploaded long ago) from another gallery to my PAD gallery it is now showing up on http://www.pbase.com/pad/

Does it mean the script building this page takes into account pictures uploaded in the last few minutes only?

As I understand it, if you don't upload the picture into a PaD gallery FIRST, it will never show up in the metagallery.

I have transferred files after putting them in my inbox first to my PAD and they have shown up.

Well you could, but that's not in the original spirit of Photo a Day. The idea is / was for it do be a daily shooting thing, not a daily post from the archives. In fact I'd go as far as to say it's an abuse of the PaD gallery, but hey, why not just do it, plenty of other people out there doing the same.

PaD can be Photo a Day or "Post a Day" depending on how you look at it. In both cases, however, you are posting a photo that hasn't been released yet.

I am really trying to take a Photo a Day this go around, it is tough with work & family, but so far I've been almost good.

I have a few photos that I have taken that haven't been posted anywhere, should the need arise, I would probably post one of those, even though they were not taken on the day I posted it.

I do take a new photo every day, but also upload a second picture from my archives most days - I seem to have so many in my archive!
