Image Size

What do you recommend as the size for your images when posting in your pad gallery ? I usually go for 600 on the long side. Someone said that my images were quite small to view. Also I have been getting allot of spam in my guest book this past few weeks. Has anyone else been having this problem?

After years of back and forth on image size I've settled on a maximum of 800px width or 600px height (depending on the orientation of the photo). It seems to be that most people who are online viewing photos are not going to be using 800x600 for their overall screen resolution, so I don't think that size would give many people a problem but is large enough to really get the feel of a photo.

I just looked at your galleries and adding with those borders, the area of the actual photo tops out and more like 400 or 500px.

And I haven't gotten any spam in the guestbook. How odd.

Thanks for answering my question. I like the border but maybe will size the photo then added border.

I usually resize to a max of 1000 pixels, depending on the orientation, it could be the Height or the Width. Not sure why I do that, I just do. . .

thanks for the reply.. I have decided to make 600-650 on the longs size then put any border .
