My new camera will come about a month after Christmas. Was saving up, but decided to blow all of my cash on my kids, (all adults). One wanted a laptop, one wanted cash, while my daughter wanted a digital camera with a printing dock. My wife and I decided to make their dreams come true this year.

1. Minolta DiMAGE A200
2. Oh why not a Hasselblad H1D since the sky is the limit!
3. Studio lighting setup
4. Jeep for my photo forays into the desert
5. Remote control camera blimp for some 'bird's eye" shots
6. An unlimited supscription to Pbase

Yup, that and a million bucks should keep me busy

This is easy...

1. World Peace.
2. An end to homelessness, human and non-human.
3. Free lifetime veterinary care for our furry little children.
4. A brand new Canon EOS 20D (with a few additional lenses, tripod, external flash, several 2GB memory cards and backup batteries) to take photos of the new peaceful, happy world in which we live.
5. New home of our own, with lots of wall space to display all the photos I'll be taking with my new camera.

:D

Skipping the impossible things like world peace, goodwill to all, a zillion dollars to spend, youth and beauty.... sigh... I would like

A Canon 90 mm tilt-shift lens.
And a set of fiber optics from Elinchrom.
A small Carl Zeiss Distagon 21/2.8 for Contax mount.
A modest Bang Olofson hifi set for music when I'm working.

And I've been very good this year.

1. To get my KM 7D back from the shop before the withdrawal gets much worse. :(
2. A new lense would be nice too. :) Maybe a good telephoto zoom...
3. More time to go shoot with it would be cool too.
4. And as long as I am just wishing, a full studio would be cool.

Sorry Ray,
Santa's out of stock on #10!

Maybe you'd like a lump of coal instead?

I'm going to speak to Santa about:

1. Guitar lessons with Jimmy Page.
2. A flight in a Spitfire.
3. A ranch near the Rockies full of Hereford cows.
4. Nicole Kidman to stop stalking me and get a life.
5. Three healthy, happy, solvent children.
6. Round the World trip to meet all my PBAse friends.
7. A whole new circle of photogenic female friends.
8. Canon 5D
9. Canon 10-22 lens
10. A zillion pounds sterling to spend on planting trees.

5. is the top priority, 9. the most likely, and 4. the most urgent!

Whatever Anna wants. I'm just trying to keep up with her anyway

I really just want a healthy baby come spring. OK... maybe a 5D or 20D as a backup body.

What's with all those people wanting a Canon? C'mon, live a little, you want the new Nikon D200 at least, if not the D2X. Both are on my list !
