Last week I challenged myself to do a series entitled "Pieces of the Puzzle" highlighting qualities I love in my wife. It was a stretching experiment for me since I mostly shoot nature and outdoor images. It turned out to be quite fun.

This was my favorite and the only one that included me (SP Friday).

I just loved this candid "portrait" of my new friends Paul and Joan. I had met them the night before as they travelled through San Francisco, and we had a wonderful time. Now they are back to Scotland.

Some times, it makes sense to turn around and look in the opposite direction. Here I turned around and quickly snapped this shot.
Gabi, the yellow lab is blind and Java, my dog, is the sweetest guy.

Dogs on the beach! Just out of shot is their owner (he actually had 5 dogs!) waving a stick around - this dog is just on the 'down' part of his somersault trying to grab it!

I like everything about this photo; the bee is very tiny and the DOF in the photo really shows it off. This photo has made my summer.
