Jeremy Rebel,
can you explain us the meaning of your comment here?

In poor words, Jeremy. We are idiots, you know...

Looks like Jeremy Rebel has offended some more with comments. He claims not to ever do so, though. Odd.

No, didn't think it would offend.

Merely suggesting that the French, as with most Europeans, are more open regarding their bodies, and perhaps, er, um, shall we say, bodily functions.

As such, one might presume that they have less need for privacy than us prudish Yanks.

Is that offensive? I guess I just don't know anymore.

And who is this Guest? I think I must have a fan base now just waiting and watching for me to make offensive comments!!

Come to think of it, I think it's more of a compliment than an offense. I consider it admirable to be less prudish. It is rather foreign to me as I lock the door every time I enter the bathroom, even if I'm all alone in my own house.

I once dated an Italian girl who left the door open when she went to the bathroom or took a shower. I found it odd. She shared her apartment with another girl and a guy. But they didn't seem to mind.

Jesus christ.. is there anything that DOESN'T offend people here?

I took what Jeremy said to mean that we americans are more uptight about our bodies, privacy, sex .. (okay.. not all of us  )..

Why don't we just call it a language/culture misunderstanding.. be optimistic that no offense was intended.. The world would spin a bit better if we assumed that instead of the other..

And I LOVE guests who haven't the guts to show themselves.. or should we say... pbase people who hide in that guise...

Me? i'll pee with a door open and hope to have a good convo while doing it ..

That reminds me.. gotta upload my toilet pic

In my best haughty, looking down my nose type of voice: "Well jude, seeing as how you are from Michigan, I can't say this surprises me much."

I interpreted this comment in much the same way as Jude. And if you don't offend some people at some point then your life must be more dull than one I'd care to live!!

Jude, you can photograph me doing anything you want!

Jude,

I suggest we do a group shoot with everyone naked as a jaybird
on toilets in a place like Jeremy's PAD shot of today.

I'm volunteering my services right here.

Anybody need a towel?
Perfume? Cologne?
Leave the tips in the tray by the sink.
Thanks!

Back to the topic just for a while.
The other week I asked our doctor about the health condition of my wife (I am a bit worried).
He replied that he was not allowed, as a general rule by law, to talk with another person, even the spouse, without the patient's explicit consent.
This is "privacy", the thing in Europe "we don't need".
You can easily understand why I laughed at certain comments, and still DO.

Thanks Aestus for your solidarity.
Believe me, I am trying to do my best, even in a foreign language.
