How many photos do you comment on each day?

I check it out and then I go to the popular photo gallery.

It can really depend on the day for me....sometimes life is such that I just can't get to it at all...doing good just to load my own daily shot. Other days, I can sit an look/review/comments with all the time in the world.

I agree.. depends on the day. Some days i can't make it into my favorites, let alone the meta.. some days I can sit and really look. I know it's a lot less than I used to..

If I'm at work, I comment until my fingers are numb.

If I'm at home, I comment until my wife says "Get a life".

Then again, I've only been at this for three months.

When I joined pad I had the time to comment on many of the images.
As time issues became a constraint I would leave few on my favorites.
Now I rarely comment however I vote.

If I were to comment on so many of the photographers that I admire I would spend approximately five to six hours a day doing so which leaves little time for other committements.

Same here... Sometimes during the day I stop and wonder if some PBasers think I have stopped admiring their work. The answer is no, but being a slow typist anyway, I can look at 5 to 6 images in the time it would take me to type a single comment.

When I first started PAD in 2003 I used to comment on everyone’s project and tried to check him or her on a daily basis. As time passed and the group grew from 30 or so people to hundreds I found less and less time to check and post on them all. Then I found I just never had time to comment period let alone check everyone’s projects. I had been trying to place reciprocating comments on other people’s sites after they placed one on mine but even that became very time consuming.

I don’t mean to be rude, I just never seem to have time to just sit down and write commentary so I seldom do so and when I do it’s usually only for some thing I happen to stumble on that I find 100% stunning.

Now I note a trend of reciprocating voting going on and I don’t mess around with that either.

Whilst I spend a lot of time at home and enjoy looking to see whats on PBase, I find the commenting on SO many good images tiresome on occasions and there is a limit to the originality of what you can say.

My favouries list is pretty lengthy and some artists there will receive a several comments in a row on occasions. And yes, my digits do get stiff sometimes...

I quite often find myself going back through peoples archives too - there are some gems there. I'm fairly active on the voting front.

And of course, there are some real unsung heroes on PBase that don't do PAD.

But I suppose that's another thread entirely

I can never really find the right words, but I believe that most people deserve encouragement, and leave probably 5-10 comments a day.

I do like it when I'm the first to vote for a picture and it gets picked up by others.

Indeed, I much prefer to do that... Rather than adding another "me too" to a PAD which has been commented to death already!
