I for one am getting sick and tired of poor service with NO explanation, ever. I've put up with it and even renewed a couple of months ago, but when my time runs out this time, unless there have been substantial improvements in both service AND communication about problems, I'm outahere.

Having said that, I'm sure Slug could care less. Whatever. :::::shrug::::

SLUG... HEY SLUG... Are you out there?

I see that Pbase took the time to anounce the Magazine in the updates for 10/10/05. How about taking the time to give us an update on the "server upgrades" ?!?

It appears to many of us here at Pbase that you are neglectful of site maintenance. If you would attempt to communicate with us and show some improvements to the servers we might reestablish some trust in this site. Right now things are getting worse weekly.

So just reply somewhere. Here. The Main Page. Through emails. I don't think anyone cares, they just want to hear something!

Emailed Pbase and got a response

Hi Rene,

The slowness is due to increased traffic overloading our hardware. We are working on upgrading our hardware to better handle increasing levels of traffic to PBase. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Please know that we are working to resolve the issue.

Thanks.

Thanks for sharing that Rene. It is good to hear something from Pbase.

1. I don't think I have had a direct reply to any emailed questions to them (I have only sent a couple).

2. This is information that they need to share with the community.

3. We need to see some evidence soon of these promised upgrades.

4. If this is a repeated problem, perhaps they should plan for more growth in their next upgrade.

5. I am very sorry for the inconvenience also :P

Anyway, thank you for sharing what they have told you :D

Today Pbase was crawling like a snail.

I think I accidently stepped on it!

Just thought I'd float this one back to the top to see if I'm the only one experiencing connection problem with Pbase over the last two days. By my observation it was completely down from 1:45 until 5:45 (central time) yesterday afternoon.

I have attempted to get answers from slug in the past with no replies. If someone has an inside line, answers would be appreciated. It is acting up again but not down.

Maybe the mice are getting tired

No inside line. I did not even bother to send an email. Guess I was just tired of the same old, same old. But, yes, there was a period of time yesterday when the site was not available to me. Other Internet sites worked fine.--Rene
