A few other PBases wrote something like this, but R. Hewitt won't removed the shots and don't give a excuse for it.

Actually this happens quite often on PBase in order to bring attention to something taking place in the world. (Though I will admit I don't know this case in particular.) During the elections there were quite a few PBasers posting political images that didn't belong to them featuring the candidate of their choice.

Is this right or wrong? Who knows...

Hopefully these individuals at the least, give credit to the Photographer.

Seems she's a recently joined pbase member and a senior citizen.

Note she hasn't claimed copyright on the photos but just posted them to her galleries. (Yeah it's true they're not her pics - she's obviously not up on copyright laws)

Somehow I don't think she's selling thousands of prints and raking in the cash to live out her years in high style in Nicaragua. The Social Security Department will be investigating.

No sense getting into a tizzy over this...

Of course, now that you've brought her all this attention.....
