OT: Where to Stay in Seattle or San Francisco?

Hi fellow PADers

I'm thinking of going for a seminar either in Seattle or San Francisco mid Feb 2006. Any one of you from these two areas can recommend where I can stay for 3 nights (Thurs to Sat) for a mid-range price? I'll check out all your recommendations. Thanks.

We stayed here several years ago, downtown Holiday Inn Express. Located close to the space needle and walking distance to downtown. At that time it had a decent continental breakfast.

San Francisco
Stayed a few weeks ago at the Best Western Grosvenor Airport. The total price was $100.

As with both cities it would depend on where your seminar is located. The BW Grosvenor is abot 3-4 miles from fishermen’s wharf and you would need a car or use public tranprotation. What type of seminar are you going to, photo?

I've stayed at the Westin many times, right by MOMA San Francisco and the heart of SF...there's also a great bar downstairs where I spent many a nights listening to great jazz...hmm I wish I was there now!

A great place to stay in San Francisco is the Hyatt on the Pier. The hotel butts up onto the Famous Pier, and you can walk across a small courtyard into the midst of San Francisco. It is also a very clean and secure hotel.

I give it 5 stars.

Also the price was reasonable!
