photographing one place for X days. etc

Post Sun May 29, 2005 6:04 pm

Lat night I spent some time photographing from a bridge here in Menominee, MI where I'm spending the spring and summer. Over the next X (?) number of days, weeks, etc., I plan to photograph from that bridge and wonder if anyone else would care to do the same and choose a location for a similar gallery?
Here's my start:

I like this idea. You've already gotten some great shots, obviously a very good location to shoot from.

Unfortunately, I can't think of any locations that I would get to every day that would offer much in the way of photographic intrest.

I will keep my eyes open and see if I can identify a nearby spot I could take a decent shot from every day for a week.

Me too! I started taking pictures of Boston Harbor with that idea in mind... and will probably have a few PaD shots from here:

Oh yes - Seems like a wonderful way to discover 'hidden' aspects of a scene. I have gone back many times to certain place and taking photgraphs over and over again of the same view, but never attempted to mount a tripod in the identical spot and take a shot each day at the same time.

Here is a link to Adalberto's gallery http://www.pbase.com/adalberto_tiburzi/window

Also I recall that during the recent expansion of MOMA in New York City Michael Wesely usedn this technique to produce some fascinating images..

And finally there is Robert Weingarten who for an entire year photographed the view from his bedroom window each day at just after dawn.
