I finished my PaD in January and still have the gallery BUT I haven't uploaded anything to it in a couple of weeks, partly because I've been doing other things, partly because I've been ill and haven't felt like lifting a camera.

But I knew when I started PaDding, that while I had a definite aim, I'd do it, I'd take that picture every day. I also knew that if I didn't have that impetus, I wouldn't. I'm disappointed with myself at how quickly I've tailed off. Mind you - I've used up so much space on my harddrive with the amount of pictures I've taken in the last year, that I really need to have a break until I get an external hard drive! :-(

I do hope that you keep posting at least your monthly magazine - it is after all "A Must Read for Every Photographer"

I don't have a problem with your idea why shouldn't you be able to continue but maybe it should be called a PAWN (photo a week or not) Quite frankly after carrying this camera around for 8 months I'm not sure I can leave the house without it. I do need help!!

I don´t see why not. I think PaD is open to many interpretations and if your interpretation is "I have done a year and now I need a break" then I won´t stop looking at your photos!

But then I can´t talk, I completely cocked up February by being away from home and super-busy. My personal aim is to take a PaD every day for as long as I can,if I miss a day but take 2 good shots the following day then I post them both (simultaneously, not an hour apart, that really ANNOYS me!). I didn´t start out that way but full time work and parenting sometimes makes my life a little unpredictable and if anyone objects to a little flexibility then may I respectfully suggest they remove their head from their posterior rectal chamber.

PAD etiquette

I'm a relative PAD newcomer (started mid Feb). Thus far I've posted everyday and only once a day, so no etiquette breach there. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

And, Kudos to the made it a year club - this is hard work!

Just done 100 days - my rule's simple the PaD is a photo take on the day - might get posted the next day if I'm away. I have to admit I only post once (unless I screw-up gallery locations or something!), but I do like to use the additional thumbnails in the 'text' box with a bit of a story - for me it's the combination of photo and words that makes PaDding great. But if someone wants to do different then that's also great! I've certainly taken lots of photos I wouldn't have, and explored areas of the North West UK I wouldn't have if I didn't need a PaD! But 'meeting' people from all over the world and seeing a small daily slice of their life - the ultimate soap?! That's what does it for me....

Must start archiving though as someone said the hard drive fills up pretty fast... Does everyone use CD's or DVD's or what to archive images?

Congrats to you PaD yearers....

Well since completing my year on March 25th I have only posted 3 times. My intentions were to continue at least two or three times a week, but my schedule has kept me from it. Looking back, I/m still trying to figure out how I kept up some days. Hopefully I will be able to become a little more active sometime soon.

Well I finished my year of photos yesterday and I am still on the fence, I will for sure visit the gallery and look at everyone's good work. There seem to be quite a few new faces posting which is really nice, this is very much like a day in the life of the whole world.

It's also been sad to see some people leave as I have during my PaD year, but a few continue to put up a shot now and then which for me is nice to see, so I am of the opinion that something is better than nothing. I am also of the opinion that once you finish 365 consecutive photos do whatever the spirit moves you to do. Good shots I have few of but opinions in abundance

Three things I hate to see are people who post shots day after day where the photos were obviously all taken on the same day, people who post a photo every 30 minutes in an attempt to catch up, I say spread them out over 8 - 10 hours so I get a chance to see them all, and last but certainly not least are people who post a password protected photo to the PaD gallery, completely clueless!

I've just finished my one year of PAD last week. It feels good. Initially, I thought I could relax for a while but heck, I'm too addicted. Besides, I miss the regulars on the PAD :D

Gotta say....buying a new camera revitalised my interest in PaD'ding...course, it's an expensive way to go about it... ...but I'm back on the straight and narrow of taking a picture every day.

Addictive? No, no...it's just a useful way of getting to know the camera...I could give up Pad'ding any time I liked....honest!

I comment on the photos or galleries of people who comment on my work. It's just common courtesy, imho. I know I like seeing other people's comments, so I figured I do something in return...
