Not a stupid question at all...
... minimal in photography would just mean simple, uncluttered, maybe with only a small centre of attention or even no subject/focus* at all.

How about we go for Monochrome, but then if peeps want to add a second level of Challenge (like minimal) as I've been doing for the past few months (prime lens only and song titles) then that's fine too! I think Monochrome gives a wide latitude for creativity, since (as Walter says) it covers B&W and all the toning techniques as well![]()
