Open Studios Network (England)

Hi,

If you don't know about this already, I'm highlighting this scheme as you'll be able to meet photographers and their work in their home studios on specific dates. Each part of the country has its own scheme, but I think the dates generally fall in June.

It is interesting to see what these people think what pieces will sell, but of course some work is produced which may sell eventually but could hardly pay the rent! The lady I saw today had some great stuff and was selling some handmade greeting cards also.

The Open Studios scheme consists of artists from all sort of disciplines - painters, sculptors, pencil artists and crafts. Photography is just a small part.

I have no idea if other parts of the UK, or other countries have similar schemes.
