Great North Meet?

We'll be doing this Years Great North Bike Ride from Seahouses to Tynemouth, on 30 August 2009.

Anyone interested in joining or meeting up in beautiful Northumberland?
Would anyone like to join in?
I see a Pbase Barbeqeue on the beach, and a very lovely pub crawl in Newcastle etc.

Hope that entices? I'd organise the Meet, if people are interested.

That would be fab! Accommodation plentiful in Newcastle and Gateshead, plenty to photograph. I shall be happy to burn some rubber and do the ride in errr, 5 hours and then be the local guide!

That would be dead funny. And very healthy indeed. If anyone is interested, there are two of us so far. I can offer room and board at the Superlekker Mansion for those who cycle, and shall be organising transport for cyclists on a first come first serve basis as my mansion is not large but I make nice cakes.

Some web sites say it is on the 29th, some the 30th - what appears to be the official site states the 30th but the site itself seems to suffer from an overall lack of clarity!

I hope everyone arrives at the start line on the same day

Gee, John, 50 miles is a walk in the park! You will get so distracted by the beautiful countryside that the miles will fly by.

And I am the fattest, unsportiest person as you know!
