I agree that the title does help sell. I have had inquiries and have sold a few to magazines because of the titles, particularly ones that applied to scenes of damage from Hurricane Katrina.
If the name of the place is in the title it makes it easier for people who do Searches to find your photos.

Perhaps it will not be so important to put everything in the title in the future: http://images.google.com/imagelabeler/

Bonjour PBaser friends!

I recently found one of my images in the blog of a perfect stranger...
I wrote to her that i was flattered she liked my image so much she "used" it to talk about her own business... but i told her i would have preferred to give her permission prior to her posting "my" image. Ehm, i do not really like her business by the way and actually, she is even practicing the contrary of the principle or idea she is trying to sell... So, i asked her i would prefer she remove the image from her site. She never even took the time to reply to me...

What can i do???

The image is the one i made of my hand with two beads...

I am not happy... And that is only one image!

I needed to vent... Sheeesh....

The mere mention of legal action if the image is not removed, might stir the person to the action of at least removing the photo.

Worth a try.

i agree that PBase is not the place to expect folks to come clamoring to your virtual door asking you to take their money for your photos.

on the other hand i almost got one of my PBase jellyfish shots as a desktop for the iPhone! Someone from Apple apparently noticed it. It made it past the first Jobs screen but apparently they decided to reduce the number of screen backgrounds and so my photo didn't make the final cut. :(. good news is that they were confused so they'd told me they'd buy the photo--after the first screen but before the second one which was apparently unexpected-- as a result i sent them an invoice and the full res shot. because i'd already invoiced them and they had told me they were going to buy the shot they ended up paying me a kill fee, the only money i've made from my photography! :) i thought it was nice of them. i just got the check and i've got to send 1/2 of it to the folks at the Aquarium who own the rights.
