Enormous thumbnails

Why the sudden appearance of so many humongous thumbnails. It takes them so long to load, I just skip the whole page. Not fair to the other thumbnails on that page.

Seems people are posting the originals and waiting for Pbase to
automatically shrink them down to size.
Not sure if that happens automatically or if there's a step they're
not taking to facilitate it.
It does screw up the entire meta page when they do it and makes
for a lot of scrolling when you go to the full size image.
