Here we go then - I'm joining at last

Well, after quite some time being a member and hopefully some will agree, a fairly active supporter, I have finally found the cause to join in the Photo a Day (or every wee while anyway!).

As some will also know I am heading off on a fairly committing expedition later this year to climb a mountain in Nepal (politics permitting) so am intending to use the blog facilitly to keep friends and family up to date with my plans and progress. This seemed the perfect solution! so, feel free to have a squint and hopefully I'll provide some amusement over the next six months! I won't be updating daily I expect but I thought I could use this as a great discipline to inform folk of what I'm up to.
