Spam on PBase

I have been getting a bunch of strange spam messages on my guestbook lately. Typically they look like this;

"Hi, I find lot of information ... Thank You.
This is my guestbook"

This is followed by a link to another site. The link and the sender change with every message.

Anybody else getting these?

This has happened to me as well. Usually with a Google link.

I have my options set to allow non-members, but only after I approve the comment. At least this way these pests don't get the exposure they are looking for.

Yes. We've been getting a few of these each day it seems. Very annoying.

I get them in particular galleries and usually in bunches.
Either links to prescription sites or something nonsensical.

The delete key makes quick work of them!

I've been getting a lot of these lately too, in my guestbook. I'm getting handy with the Delete!

So that you don't allow guests to post, if you go to the next step up I think that will prevent all the spamming.

And I think if everyone did this then Pbase as a whole would work fast with less downtime.

Also please blacklist anyone that uses counters other than the ones offered by Pbase.

And blacklist anyone that uses redirect services like ilead.

the google links are there because a google bot has been here collecting stuff plus copys of your photos.I have banned google,yahoo,msn bots on my domain plus any other new ones i detect.There is a polite notice somewher here on pbase "please get the authors permission before using a photo" these lowlife who have bots don't take any notice of this polite notice,they just steal info where ever they want to
Also google harvest email addresses

I just deleted 15 spam e-mails from my guest book this morning. They were all from different people, advertising viagra and other drugs.
This is the first time I've had this happen. Hope it doesn't continue.
