Finished PAD year 1 today!

Post Sun Feb 19, 2006 1:56 am

I finished my first year of PAD today with no misses (and no cheating). I will admit to at least ten desperation shots though.

It was a very interesting and educational exercise. By forcing myself to shoot everyday, I was forced to shoot in a variety of conditions and to find subjects that I might otherwise have overlooked. My (photo oriented) friends tell me that they have seen a marked improvement in my recent work from what I shot a year ago. Since I have been shooting on and off for forty some years, it is harder for me to critically judge my own work.

I would encourage everyone to try the PAD exercise, if they really want to learn more about their equipment and themselves.

I will continue adding to my PAD gallery, but not every day - no more desperation shots. Thank you to all who have visited and commented on my images.

I just went thru the full years worth of your PAD photos, I don’t know if they are an improvement over your older shots or not but they are a diverse, interesting and excellent set of photos.

Going thru them day by day in PAD order was interesting but I think the overall effect would be improved if they were in small galleries by subject.

Great set of photos, a year well spent, a job well done.
