In the 1950s and early 60s, there was a growing Communist movement in Laos.
The Communist movement was supported by the North Vietnamese, and the opposing Royalist forces were supported by the US, who were concerned that the fall of Laos would result in the fall of all of Southeast Asia to Communism like “dominoesâ€

I have been living in Laos for 4 years and have been recording survivors of unexploded bombs, mostly children. You can see the effects the bombs are having today and predicted to continue for another 100 years, the pics are both happy in that some have mostly fully recovered and sad in that they have almost destroyed the survivors lives and on many occasions family or friends with them were killed.
