Travel Tri or Mono Pods

Hi there,
going to Europe for a month and want a pod that I can bring to a beach, mountains & museums.
I have the Canon S2.
The new Trek walking stick is great but is too long to fit in a suitcase.
And you kind a look like Moses walking with it.

Any links or ideas appreciated.

A lot of museums and historic places in Europe won't let you in with either one. The Vatican museums won't even let you in, and you need to buy a permit to use one in the Roman Forum. We ended up leaving ours in the hotel. It would have been handy though!

I only have a point and shoot, but I have a tiny tripod. It's about 10 cm in length. Easy to carry while I travel.

Mini-tripod - YES!

For the museums and insides of churches, I wonder if a chest/shoulder pad would help here...
