Sedona AZ and Oak Creek Canyon drive to Slide Rock

This past thanksgiving , I decided to take one of those "Fly Cheap While Everybody Else is Having Thanksgiving Dinner" trips.

This time I took the opportunity to travel to the Grand Canyon.
I arrived at Phoenix and traveled through beautiful Sedona taking the absolutely gorgeous Oak Canyon road up to Flagstaff.
This first set of pictures are form Sedona, Oak Canyon road and "Slide Rock Park".

The pictures form Slide Rock were taken under extremely nice circumstances: Low soft light and...absolutely not a soul around. Exquisite light and solitude in such a beautiful place was quite a treat.

In the next days, I will post the "Big One"....the Grand Canyon.
