I agree with you, you can find a lot in Europe.
We made our Eurotrip this summer through 10 countries. I would highlight following:
Venice - so different http://www.pbase.com/kersti/venice


Or Monaco - in terms of cleanyness, totally opposite to Venice and you can smell money at every step you do http://www.pbase.com/kersti/monacomontecarlo


Or villages in Provence http://www.pbase.com/kersti/france


Or arts in Figureres in Spain and Spain beaches of course http://www.pbase.com/kersti/spain

We did a very relaxing ten day trip to London and stayed in the city the entire trip with no regrets.
