Spain or Rome?

They both sound great. Madrid, Spain and Rome, Italy; both have a rich history of the arts, wars and food. To say which is better: to go alone or in a tour is how you feel about doing things at those places. If you were going to a place by yourself, you get to go and see things that tourist don't see, but there is a down fall  ; if you don't know the language, the culture, and history you may not enjoy the trip. With a tour you get a little history, a little culture and a basic idea of the language from the tour guide. If you are for an adventure go ahead and do it on your own. If you want to play it safe go with a tour. If I were to choose which country out of the two; I would choose Spain because of the artists from there like Picasso, Goya, Salvidor Dali, and many others. The food and places to take photos of. :D Plus, I would go with a tour guide for my first time going there. Then plan a second trip without a guide.

Well I hope I helped you out a bit on your decision making. If you need more info on the history, arts, and culture e-mail me: cinders_690@yahoo.com

I hope you have a great trip in August.

Spain or Rome

8) 8) 1) Don't just go to a single city in either country-I have been in both and they do not represent the whole country or culture. They are each worth about three days of photography. The both have museums filled with art, they both historic and religious sites.
:) :) 2) Take a tour. The major tour companies all have tours where you hit the major cities of each country; Spain: Madrid, Toledo, Granada, La Costa del Sol, Sevilla, Gibraltar and Cordoba; or Madrid, Zaragosa, Barcelona, and Valencia. In Italy: Pisa, San Gimignano (great shopping), Florence, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Verona, Venice, Orvieto and Assisi; or Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Palermo, Naples, and Syracuse.
3) Go back on your own after you've seen the highlights from a tour. We have been to Paris twice and London 3 times. Now I am figuring how to get back to Venice.
4) Use an discount internet travel agent: afforable tours is one. Gate1 travel has very cheap single and double city packages.

Whatever you do, post pictures at your pbase site when you get back.
