Hunting Texas Wildflowers 2024

Post Sun Mar 31, 2024 1:54 am

Texas is in the midst of a banner season for wildflowers.
After 18 years, I have a new Hunting Texas Wildflowers book. This time, it is in eBook format. Why eBook? The main reason is cost. It costs so much to produce a book in print. I wanted to add so many color photos that the cost to you would have doubled the original print book.
Hunting Texas Wildflowers 2024 is live and available for purchase at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CX2S2T26
The new Hunting Texas Wildflowers 2024 eBook has 28 sample route photos with dates and locations for each and 30 photos of common Texas wildflowers with links to more information for each wildflower.
The eBook is constructed around four regions (Brenham, Ennis, Texas Hill Country, and South Central). Nine cities can be used as a home base from which you can take day trips, visit parks and other interesting stops, and travel nearby wildflower routes. I have traveled each route in the past 25 years, and they are some of the top routes in the four regions. The nine home base cities are:
• Austin
• Brenham
• Burnet (includes Marble Falls)
• Ennis (includes locations in the DFW area)
• Fredericksburg
• Johnson City
• Llano
• Mason
• San Antonio
Includes:
- 40 parks and stops where you can find wildflowers, enjoy a fun experience, or grab a bite to eat. The parks and stops include a few old-style country stores, wineries, and even a cemetery that once was covered in bluebonnets.
- 30 day-trips and over 30 routes that, for me, have consistently produced excellent views of wildflowers.

Resources: The eBook has links to resources to help you find, identify, and grow wildflowers
Wildflower Photography Tips: These are the settings and the process that I follow to help me photograph wildflowers.
