Auxiliary power packs

I have looked for ever (it seems) for an auxiliary power pack for a Minolta Dimage 7Hi and can't find one inside australia. Does anyone know where i can get one. I live in Sydney

Option 1) http://www.adorama.com they will ship to the world. Your taxes/duties may be a little pricy but you can try it.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com is also a good company that will ship to the world.

Option 2) Roll your own. A standard sealed gel battery (6V) + Auto battery charger + a few cables + Small case. You can make one for around $50 (USD). Most of the parts can be picked up in a marine supply store + a radio shack.

Unfortunately it is probably cheaper to sell your 7Hi and get an A1 (with the grip attachement) than to get the OEM version of the battery pack.

The third party packs are more reasonable.
