Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 or ???

I'm looking for a small digital still/video camera with good resolution, stabilization, and remote capabilities. The main use is going to be aerial photography (still and video) from a quadcopter. One initial restriction is that the maximum width is 4.5", which I don't think is going to be a problem with most point-and-shoots.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 appears to have favorable features, including:
* 18.1 MP resolution
* 1080P video capability
* 24mm - 480mm lens range (would prefer a wider angle, but this will work)
* Wi-Fi connectivity which permits remote control from smart phone
* Image stabilization

My concern is that I've read some negative reviews about various glitches that required the return of the camera. Most of the reviews at B&H are friendlier than that -- where I'm seeing the really bad reviews are non-specialty shops.

Do you have experience with this camera that you'd care to share? Any comments as to how concerned I should be about the reviews (i.e.: there will be a complaint about ANY camera along the way, so take it with a grain of salt...)
