Canon A 60 Fill in Flash query

Post Tue May 25, 2004 8:54 am

I have a small Canon A 60, a nice little camera which I take with me everywhere. The one thing I have noticed, is that when shooting into bright light (sunlight, or indoors directly into the window) for some reason the flash will not work, there doesn't seem to be anyway to turn on the flash in these situations as a fill in, except to first focus away from the light, keep the shutter half pressed, and then recompose the subject. Have I missed something somewhere!!!!!!!

I'd don't have an A60, but my sister-in-law does (actually, an A70). If I recall correctly, I think you can hit the top button of the 4-way controller (the button with the lightning bolt arrow next to it) until you get to Flash On (Fill) mode. If you are in Flash (Auto) mode, it will flash based on the amount of light detected by the built-in light meter.

Anyway, best of luck...
