Photos with Canon 50D with speedlite attached

As a little more than a beginner, it seems the new digital EOS Canon camera of today doesn't need using a flash attachment. I would presume using a high ISO will take care of those night shots. This is from a little more than a beginner.

With that said, I recently bought a Canon EOS 50D camera to replace my Canon Rebel XT. I also have a Canon Speedlite 580 EX. I hardly used the speedlite because I am relying on using a higher ISO during the night.

I'd like make use of my Canon 580 EX Speedlite a lot more. Can someone point me to a link where there is a lot of photos taken with Canon 50D with a Canon speedlite attach to it? I'd like to see the photo as well as the camera/speedlite settings.
