how to clean the fingerprint on the lens

I left some fingerprint on the lens by mistake. Is it necessary to clean?
If so, how to clean them, with what kind of tools?

Go to your local camera shop and get a lens cleaning cloth. Do you not use a regular tissue. tea towel of handerkerchief and certainly do not use any of those lens cleaning fluids.

Also buy yourself a skylight or UV filter of the appropriate size for your lens and leave it on the lens all the time. It will form a barrier between you and other external objects and the lens and is much cheaper to replace than the lens or the whole camera...
