Nikkor 16-85mm VR AF-S G: Anyone have issues with this lens?

I have one of these and I suspect it's focusing short at 16mm. Has anyone else shot one and seen anything unexpected? Mine acts like the AF is way out of spec. I'm shooting a D-200, and the remainder of my quiver shoots fine.....

Just bought this lens for my D300 and it seems fine.....really love the sharp images , already my fave lens

The jury is still out on mine.. I think it might be a flawed one. The issue with the focus is irregular. Some times it's dead on and sometimes it just isn't I still have to play with it longer.
