Olympus adapter for minolta lens

Does anyone know if there is an adapter for the olympus e510 so that you can use rokkor(minoilta) lens with it. Also, is their any quality issues if you use the adapter and these lens....thanks,adam

Hi Adam,
Adapting bayonet mount to bayonet , or bayonet to screw mount requires too much extension for the lens to focus to infinity on it's own. There are some adapter made which include optics to help overcome the problem, but they're of lesser quality, resulting in softer images and loss of auto functions. The adapters are in the $300.00 price range, which isn't real reasonable, considering the job they do. If you need more information, Google should render links.

Good choice of camera Adam. Even if you can't use your legacy lenses on it, the new digital Zuiko lenses are as good as they get.
