What Camera/Lens set up suggestion?

As of right now I am using a 30d and Im looking to get an IS lens. I want to specialize in fashion/model photography. Please, some advice would be huge on selection of lenses and even choice of camera. Canon/Nikon? Thank you!!! Ps If it helps, I do work out of a studio but would love to travel and do candid/runway shots where the lighting is always different.
