Anyone heard of this lens yet being in the hands of the prosumer? Supposed to be released and I cant seem to locate who has them in stock..

Have you heard of the Internet? It's quite useful for doing basic searches to find current information and current stock at the various outlets.

Yeah - that's the intended target market alright - the Prosumer. LOL
Do you realize that you could add a 1.4x Teleconverter to your 600mm f/4L lens and turn it into an 800mm f/5.6 ?
(actually it would be 840mm @ f/5.6 - even better than the 800mm lens !)

Now, if Canon came out with an 800mm f/4L then that would be something special.
