Does anyone know of a wireless remote shutter release adaptor for a Canon S51S camera? Or, even a wired one would work I suppose. I can't seen to find one. Canon said they don't have one. There MUST be an aftermarket item somewhere I'm guessing. If anyone knows please give me a little info on it. Thanks!! BONDOBABE :P

This isn't a model I own, so really haven't a clue. But, seems you could use the self timer if shake is the problem.

I think Canon is right - I don't think this camera has the ability. I own an S3. I use the 2 second shutter delay to avoid camera shake on longer exposures.

Hey Nikkos, Yes canon is correct and there is not a wire release made for that Point & Shoot.

I can't find my manual, but I did find something briefly on the internet while reading a review of the camera. Apparently, you can use a computer through the USB and software as a remote shutter release. This means your S5 IS camera will have to be next to a computer or laptop, might be worth investigating.

I've never tried this, or even knew my camera could do this.
