I am thinking of buying a new lense for my pentax K10D. I was thinking of either a Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 EX DG £206.99 or a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 Di SP AF £238.99. Has any one had any experience with either of the lenses? Is there much difference between the two apert from the obvious 5mm?

I use the 28-75 on my Canon cameras and I really like it; terrific IQ for the small price. For my K10D, I use mostly PK-A mount and m42 mount manual focus lenses. The 28-75 is one I've considered for it.

The Tamron 28-75 lens falls in to my "Brutally Sharp" category!

Excellent lens.

I have owned the Tamron 28-75. It is a "brutally" sharp lense. I would highly recommend it.
