Infra Red

i really want to give IR a go but i dont wana get my D80 modified and the hot plate is too good in the D80 i even tried it on bulb mode with 90 second exposure with Hoya R72 and custom white balance but it seems to block out IR light too well. I am willing to spend 100 on IR solely or 300 on a camera i can use for both IR and normal digital photography, ant suggestions ?

Try to get a Minolta Dimage 7 on ebay. I got one in almost new condition for only about $150. It's 5MP but extremely IR sensitive.

See this gallery for examples (not mine).

Best of luck.

Hi

I use a Cokin filter and it works a treat on my Nikon D70s, have a look at this gallery:

Let me know what you think, I don't think you need to buy another camera.
