Tele-Converter

Hi,

Thinking about the best options to buy Sigma 2.0 X or 1.4 X EX APO Tele-Converter for sigma 70-200mm f2.8 and I'm used Nikon D80.

Has anyone done the comparison about image result significantly better with the 1.4x or 2x?

I'd Love to hear your comments/opinion.

Thanks in advance!
:)

I too use the D80 and tried the Nikon 1.7 and 2.0 TC's on the Nikkor 70-200/2,8VR. For my eye the 1.7 was better than the 2.0. Not a huge difference but visibly anyhow. Especially fully zoomed and wide open (2,8 ).
So I guess the TC1.4 will be best of all....

I believe that overall there's not much difference between your equipment and mine. I am convinced that the Sigma lens works best with Sigma t-converters.
Besides the better picture quality of the 1,4 TC you also should consider that the biggest aperture then is 5,6 (with TC2.0) compared to 4,0 (with TC1.4). Well, not a big difference (one f-stop) but worth to think about.....

Regards
Steve
