The lack of high ISO images from the d300 is disconcerting really.

However, D3 at £3399 + I'd need a 28-70 or a 24-70 because i don't want to use my 17-55 in 5mp mode.. well that's £5k or thereabouts.

I have to admit I want a D2 series body.. the d200 is great, but there's no comparison really (save for the weird positioning of the metering selector compared to d200). D2 (and d3) series bodies are just great. Ergonomics are fantastic.

So i'm still swinging between d2x/hs or indeed the d3. Can't really convince myself that stretching to £5k is really on at the moment.. not enough work done...!

Them low noise ISO shots from the D3 are horribly enticing - for the first time us Nikon lot have something like the Canons. Good times indeed.

But we'll see what "real" users (Osaka pros aside) will make of it, cause all we've seen are JPEGs so far....
