DSC message on lcd screen ??

Hi
i have a Fuji Finepix S304
I have been using this with no problems for a few months, but today all of a sudden "DSC" has popped up on the lcd screen and now im unable to download any pics from the camera onto my pc.
i can still take pics but i cannot download them.

Can anyone tell me what i need to do to remedy this.

This is a great learning site for all types of photography and for digital processing (i.e. Photoshop, etc) issues as well. Plus it's a great bunch of folks!! I bet someone there can help.
